Adding to the appeal, this is the last San Francisco Mint issue of the long-running Liberty Head eagle series, as in the same year the Indian Head eagle design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens was started.
This beautiful premium Gem eagle displays outstanding satin to softly frosted luster and lovely originality. Both sides are fully struck with silky smooth, virtually pristine surfaces bathed in vivid reddish-rose patina.
